As seen in Telluride: Chocolate Lover's Fling

Chocolate Lovers Fling a Smashing Success!

The San Miguel Resource Center is one of The Hotel Telluride's favorite local organizations. It hosts 24/hr hotlines, cultural programs, prevention education and more.

San Miguel Resource Center hold and annual fundraiser, the Chocolate Lovers Fling, which is an event filled with custume wearing, chocolate eating, dancing and fun. This year in appreciation for the good work that the San Miguel Resource Center does within the community we donated a 2-night stay at The Hotel Telluride, which was one by a former resident coming in next month to celebrate her 36th birthday!

Each year the Chocolate Lover's Fling has a theme and this year's was 'the Olympics' so all the attendees transformed into Olympians from multiple Jamacian bobsled teams, to a slew of Tayna Harding/Nancy Kerrigans, to toga wearing ancient grecians...

The chocolate this year was especially creative with the theme. The Butcher and the Baker created a display with an Olympic style flame where guests could burn their s'mores on mini ice cream cones looking much like the Olympic torch. Other fun cocoa creation included raviolis and chocolate donuts. It was hard not to over eat!

Telluride favorite DJ Harry led the dance party with the hits. A special treat for the night was a preformance by two aerial dancers who certainly had gusto. Our own Riley Arthur, our hotel Reservation/Sales Coordinator took these photos which capture the magic of the event.
