Wiley Hembel in Telluride
As told by Wiley M. Hembel: My mom and dad said we were going to a place called Telluride. They said we've been there before for day trips, but I didnt remember. Now, most of the time I live in Phoenix, but we go to our land in Pagosa Springs as much as we can in the summer. And I was sure that nothing could ever be better than that. But I was wrong! I love Telluride, I think its my most favorite place on earth now. We went over Ophir pass the first day, and I had to keep getting out to explore, then the second day we went over Imogene pass and into Yankee Boy Basin. I was so tired from exploring there, then the last day we took a hike to Bear Creek Falls. Wow, what a fun hike! I met so many new friends. But I think the best part was our accomidations at the Hotel Telluride. They had a bed just for me, and I didnt even have to share with mom and dad. And they had food and water bowls just for me, and even special cookies! They were soooooo nice! I am already begging mom and dad to take me back to the Hotel Telluride! I am sending a picture of me where I found snow between the trees, can you believe snow in July!?
