Of course, when you think of Telluride, you think of superlative skiing and snowboarding. Telluride Ski Resort, open since 1972, features some of the finest beginner terrain in the country; and nearly 38% of the mountain is designated for intermediate skiers (24% beginner and 38% Advanced/Expert). Snow enthusiasts will find plenty of dry, deep powder with over 300 inches of snowfall annually during a ski-season that runs from late November to early April. The scenic setting is so dramatic that it is unparalleled in all of ski country.

Telluride has three different terrain parks!AIR GARDEN EXPERT TERRAIN PARK
Step into the scene of the main park located on Lower See Forever. Designed for the serious freestyle rider, the Air Garden offers a 15 ft Vertical Box, Urban Rails, C-Boxes, Down/Flat/Down Box, and Up/Flat Rail. The jump line has also been redesigned resulting in three expert jumps that lead into an 18ft quarter pipe. This terrain is for expert park riders only. BUTTERFLY INTERMEDIATE TERRAIN PARK
Butterfly Park offers features for the intermediate park rider. Located next to the Air Garden, this park consists of a new Flat/Down Box, a new 15ft Flat Box, an A-Frame Rail, a 15ft jump, and a 25ft jump. Come check out the middle ground between Ute Terrain Park and the Air Garden. Learn new spins and get jibbin' in this less intimidating Terrain Park! UTE PARK BEGINNER TERRAIN PARK
Work the Progression in Ute Terrain Park, specifically designed for the beginner park rider. Consisting of 4 small boxes and rails, rollers, two jumps, and a hip, Ute Park is the perfect learning area for aspiring jibbers, young and old. Veteran park riders are often seen using the features to learn new tricks as well! Access Ute Park by riding Chair 10 to Chair 11, and enjoy the secluded location, served by its own Chairlift!

Winter Adventures Learn to ski or snowboard! Telluride Ski and Snowboard School has over 250 professionally trained instructors to help you improve your skills, or help you learn a whole new sport! From beginner lessons to multi-day clinics, there is something for everyone. The Mountain Village Activity Center features the ski & snowboard school, nursery, lift ticket offices and equipment rentals.
- Take a breathtaking half or full day back country skiing trip.
- Go Heli-skiing or heli-boarding in high-country powder bowls and basins with Colorado's only heli-skiing company, based right here in Telluride.
- Try cross-country skiing. The Telluride Nordic Center offers lessons and rentals for classic and skate skiing.
- If you are looking for a new adventure on snow, try the fun and easy to learn snowbiking.
- Enjoy an art classes in painting, drawing, ceramics, photography and other subjects at the Ah Haa School for the Arts.
- The easiest way to enjoy the breathtaking backcountry is on a snowshoe tour. The Nordic Center and Telluride Ski Resort both offer guided snowshoe tours. Our staff will be happy to make reservations for you.
- Guided snowmobile tours of some of the historic locations around Telluride are available.
- Take a half-day with a team of Alaskan sled dogs.
