Our Wedding at The Hotel Telluride

The Hotel Telluride's absolute favorite thing to see is a couple of SNOW BIRDS tie the knot!  The Balsey - Markovich Wedding stayed with The Hotel Telluride last March and between turns, they managed to say thier I-do's.

"Steph and I are both from Denver and have been skiing since we were toddlers. Our first date was skiing Vail and we got engaged at the top of Chamonix during a ski trip. We decided to get married in Telluride because it has the best views, town, and skiing of any resort in Colorado! Everyone enjoyed staying at the Hotel Telluride and we highly recommend it."

Would you say the Groom has cold feet here?  I don't know... he looks pretty happy to us!

Runaway Bride.... At least she's got her groom as the getaway driver!

Enjoying the iconic first kiss in downtown Telluride as husband and wife!

The Hotel Telluride- Made the 2013 Conde Nast Gold List

The Hotel Telluride has made the Condé Nast Gold List, along with 5 other sister properties within the Destination Hotels & Resorts Collection!

Condé Nast Traveler has just released their Gold List for 2013 and six hotels and resorts within our collection made the list! Here’s who made the list from Destination Hotels & Resorts:

"Inspired by the history of Telluride, this “intimate ski lodge–style hotel is charming, with fantastic views” of the surrounding mountains. Guest rooms are “comfortable but not luxurious” and come with mahogany furnishings, balconies or patios with mountain views, and bathrooms with marble accents. Staff are “extremely friendly” and provide complimentary ski, snowboard, and bike storage as well as a shuttle to the gondola. The family-friendly Nook serves tavern fare and an “excellent breakfast buffet.” Beat the cold after a day on the slopes at the après-ski baked potato and chili bar."

The Hotel Telluride- Best For Romance!

In Becca Hensley's article in the Austin Monthly for November, she keys up the winter by helping readers deliver the dream of finding:

Your Own Adventure Through Your Own Posh Ski Resort!

Naturally, Telluride takes the cake in romance, and the cherry on the top goes to The Hotel Telluride for romantic accommodations. Read a snippet of the article below.

Best For Romance: Telluride, in Colorado’s San Juan Mountains

"Best known for its vertical drop and pulse numbing expert runs, Telluride also offers vastly diverse terrain options for skiers and boarders of every level. Its longest run, Galloping Goose, undulates downhill for 4.6 miles. With 125 trails, 2,000 ski-able acres and 309 inches of average annual snowfall, Telluride is a winter paradise. This real mountain town turned snazzy resort exudes a certain sexy hipness that’s perfect for rekindling a romance. For instant bonding, cavort together on some of the prodigious steeps and deeps, such as Buzz’s Glade or Bushwacker. But to truly rev up your heart rates in unison, take a heli-skiing adventure. To make it easy, Hotel Telluride offers a package that whisks couples to Silverton Mountain via helicopter for heli-runs amid more than 22,000 acres of ski-permit terrain in the San Juan Wilderness area. Not for the faint of heart, this package also includes two spa treatments and limitless, languorous cuddling by a crackling fire, with bubbly in hand and hot tub beckoning ($2,699 for two nights for two people). Do try to leave the room occasionally to enjoy Telluride’s après ski culture—both in the historic downtown and at the chic mountain village. Dine at the top of Gold Hill at Alpino Vino, an Italian trattoria with a multitiered deck that evokes the Dolomites. Reserve a table in the evening and travel to the restaurant by snow coach on a pathway lit by the stars"

Hotel Telluride takes the cake in guest service!

We were deeply touched when a previous guest wrote a very special note of recognition regarding one of all-star employees.  Has an employee of The Hotel Telluride touch you?  Please share your experiences: aacosta@destinations.com so we can share them with others!

"Dear Wayne (Manager),

I worked closely with your hotel over the summer as a trip coordinator at Telluride Outside with Doug Morrison and Colette Thompson. We all appreciated the quality of your reservationists and the feedback we received from your guests (our clients) yet a particular employee was simply and always outstanding: 'Manda. She was always professional yet fun, she communicates well always and never once dropped a ball. Earlier this month I was part of the Coors commercial crew in production and again, with even more pressure and demands from the production company she was fantastic and the producer and myself appreciated it immensely. This young woman reflects very well on your hotel and I wish to share my very positive impression and experience with you. Another employee who went above and beyond was Chris who serviced our room quickly and quietly every time we asked and never without a big smile. Thank you and I do hope you will let me know you received this.

Regards,

Jx"
