Excitement Growing for Valentines Day

Excitement Growing for Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day being the most romantic of holidays is a popular time to come to Telluride. Rooms in The Hotel Telluride are filling up fast, but we do still have availability for all your last minute love bird bookers.

Lingering fond memories from childhood of making Valentine's cards as a pastime, doesn't have to be limited to childern. Yesterday the Telluride Historic Museum in an event called Victorian Valentines, welcomed the public to create vintage inspired Valentines cards. With reissued vintage Victorian era cards patrons could bedazzle, bling or sequin each card to make them unique. The museum team lead by Cameo Holt, Program & Interpretations Director and Anne Gerhard Program & Interpretations Coordinator were there along with a small crowd. Books of poetry checked out from the Wilkinson Public Library gave inspiration for those stumped with what to write in their cards. It was a fun time had by all, and a great way to get into the spirit of Valentine's Day. The Telluride Historical Museum frequently hosts events for the public ranging in topic.
